I would like to add what I said in my post as well:”‘Ethical’ has no business even being mentioned in the same page as those crooks on both sides of the aisle.” I only hear and see one group being defended based on party. Are the guilty dogs barking?

I also noticed that there was no defense for the Dems only attacks on the GOP representatives. This is further evidence of the partisan outlook expressed by people who can’t see past party affiliation and who can’t worry about what is best for our nation.

uh…William. I never defend corrupt politicians no matter whether D or R. If you’ll notice my coverage of Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale, as an example. How about my comments about Larry Craig?

The difference is, you won’t call your members corrupt, William. The point of the post was that Nancy said she’ll run the most ethical congress EVER!

If you’ll provide your list of Dem thugs, you’ll have some credibility. But you’ll twist, turn, and contort every which way to keep from hitting your home team.

Heck, if I start by listing the Democrat politicians in Tennessee alone, I’m in for a long night of typing.

Funny, Jefferson … the face of corruption in Congress because he is a Democrat. Excuse me? You forgot to mention the 19 Republican congressmen and White House staffers that have been indicted/convicted/jailed in Bush’s push to restore integrity to DC in an unprecedented Culture of Corruption./.. including Bush who met convicted felon Jack Abramoff a dozen times, invited him to Crawford but says, after Abramoff is convicted… “I don’t know him.”

Semi, what is journalism? Is it ignoring obvious shortcomings in any candidate or just one? Is it trying to defend a truly fraudulent document because it says what you want to hear about Bush? Or is journalism that “timgle running up your leg”?

Politicians are like vampires, can’t stand the light.

They surround themselves with legal moats to keep them separated from the common law.

Yet they devise new economic rectal scanners for us like the recent vote buying mortgage buddy bailout that mandates all credit card transactions and otherwise all online transactions be reported to the IRS. And of course that extra book keeping has to be paid for in the form of higher fees that will get passed onto the consumer.

States will be chomping at the bit to get the IRS to share this data with them, so they can directly bill merchants for out-of-state sales. Any company that does business on the Internet, but that doesn’t charge sales tax for out of state sales is at risk.

The Tenn. Dept. of Revenue will love this data. But then they probably have a large freezer too.

This is yet another great example of politicians on both sides of the aisle doing what maintains their stranglehold of power instead of what is right. For ANYONE to say that Jefferson’s office is off limits for a search warrant is absurd. Are we then equating Congressional offices and therefore Congressmen with foreign powers? That is why we don’t serve search warrants on foreign embassies or arrest those with diplomatic immunity. Why do we afford that same privilege and freedom to a Congressman’s office? I had to laugh to fight the tears since Bush and others came out saying how SEARCHING his office was off limits, but it is ok for that same government to STEAL private property and give it to another private entity. “Ethical” has no business even being mentioned in the same page as those crooks on both sides of the aisle.
