BIG NEWS! NEW RADIO SHOW!!
Big, big news!! Lee and I will be kicking off our new conservative talk radio show that will be heard on the 50,000 watt Horne Radio Network in Knoxville. The show will debut on Monday, March 12 and will air 3:00-6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Horne is a locally owned and operated network.
We’ve been working hard to put together a program that you’re going to love. You’ll love our serious coverage as well as the fun we’re going to have with political issues and personalities.
We’ve also got an awesome producer, Mr. David Massengill, who is extremely talented in his own right.
Help spread the word! We’re going to have a blast!

Good luck.

I wish you every blessing on your new show, Terry. I’ll be listening, too.
BTW, have you checked out this congressman in California? I think that he is made of more Presidential material than John McCain. I hope he runs in 2008.

Hi, Terry- I called into the show today- I was the veteran you cut off twice, trying to talk about VA funding issues. I also didn’t appreciate how your callers and either you or Lee questioned my veracity; and by extension, called any veteran who isn’t a Republican a liar. If we agree with you, you thank us for your service- if we don’t, you not only don’t thank us, you call us liars? Is that what your show is about.
(BTW, I’d be happy to fax you my Honorable Discharge papers or any other proof you require to prove my service, not that it should be necessary to an armchair general like you)
Also, to call out the other problems you had with truth today:
(1) Line item vetoes under Clinton were related to weapons programs event the Pentagon said were unnecessary.
(2) Troop draw-downs under Clinton were extension of plan initially put into place under Bush 41. Besides, Congress controls the purse, not the Presidency- only the GOP congress could have cut the military budged 1994-2000, correct?
(3) For truth about Somalia/Clinton, see http://letters.salon.com/politics/war_room/2006/09/25/clinton/view/?order=asc
(4) Under GWB, we saw what happened at Walter Reed; also underreported were the fact that GOP/Bush tried to cut combat pay for troops (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2003/08/14/MN94780.DTL&type=printable)
Which leads me to VA funding issues. This link has several examples of how the GOP talks big about supporting the troops but votes the other way:

I’d be happy to come on your show and “Talk Frank” as much as you can stand, but I suspect I won’t be hearing back from you about that.
I’d be interested to see if this comment remains or is deleted out, since you and Lee are so quick to use the “dump” button on the show.

Kurt, if you’d like to send your papers, I’d be happy to look at them.
Line item veto was used by Clinton, and your citation of items that you claim the Pentagon said weren’t needed is a convenient excuse for Clinton’s use of the tool to cut the military.
As far as using the dump button, you fail to undertand radio. We let you run us two minutes over break as it was. In your arrogance, you assume your passion and detest for our opinion lends you right to filibuster on the show.
Your assumption that we only support Republican military members is based without fact. We hold up Democrats we agree with on a regular basis…in that very show, I quoted Zell Miller and FDR and his speech.
I’m glad you served in the military. But I don’t have to respect, condone, or agree with your political views because you wore the uniform.
Sad to say, you are using it as a shield for your liberal views…views that you never articulated on the show.

>
If you choose to ignore facts, that’s fine. I gave you facts (like the Seawolf program), and you choose to ignore them. That’s OK if you want to sound silly.
>
I didn’t say you had to agree with me- but don’t call me a liar and other veterans liars because you disagree
>
You clearly have a problem with listening- when I called, I was calling to refute your statement that liberals hate America and don’t understand concepts like duty and honor. The statement of military service was just an example (one I *thought* you would understand) of duty and honor and dedication to this country by other liberals like myself, Col. Hackett, John Murtha, etc. You were the one that used military service as a measure of duty and patriotism, not I.
If I send you my discharge, will I get an on-air apology in person for being called a liar? A truly *honorable* person would.

Oh here’s that link about the Bush cut of the Defense Brain Injury Center, an issue I work on personally to help our vets. It would be great if your show could cover issues like this instead of just spreading hate and discord in this country:

Another inaccuracy on your show: you reported one caller say WW2 was different because the whole country got behind FDR, there was no division.
WRONG. When FDR went to the business community and laid out his needs for the war, they refused to help him (and put this country at risk) unless they got certain legislative concessions from the government. Find the book “No Ordinary Time” and read more about it. Let me know if you need the page number.
Oh, and if you’re so against Congress using the power of the purse, how do you feel about the same tactic used by the GOP congress in the 1990s while our troops were in Bosnia and Kosovo?
“GOP Tried to Tie the President’s Hands on Bosnia, Even As Peace
Talks Were Ongoing. According to the Associated Press, “Seeking a
confrontation with President Clinton, House Republicans say they will
move legislation cutting off money for a U.S. troop deployment to
Bosnia unless the White House gains congressional support. As Bosnian
peace talks continued in Ohio, Clinton pleaded with lawmakers to keep
an open mind. … ‘I see this as part of a series of signals to the
president that the Congress intends to play a decisive role in this
issue,’ said Rep. Bill Young, R-Fla., chairman of the House
Appropriations national security subcommittee. ‘The president should
get approval of Congress.’” (Associated Press, 11/9/95)
The hypocrisy is astounding.

Terry & Lee,
I really am enjoying your show! At first I wasn’t really sure; because I also enjoyed listening to Sean Hannity (until he became a walking commercial, for Rudy!)
Keep up the good work!

Lee & Terry,
Thanks for inviting me to use up your air time! I had a great time and am proud of you for airing the “other” side of the war in Iraq! Its reassuring to know you have our “six” on the war effort!

I enjoy your show — it makes the so- called liberals (or as many now call themselves, “progressives”) howl. The so-called liberals spread their ignorant thoughts because it makes them feel good. They’re hypocrites at heart.

I feel like I’m watching a slow motion coup of our country by the media and the democratic leftist. Where is middle America? Are things that bad in this country that the people are willing to elect Obama?
By Phil Reilly on 10.24.08 2:19 pm
FINALLY!!! Sooooo happy to see that!!
