Shocker

I have to admit total shock as I clicked over to the Sentinel this morning to see this poll on their website:

Best ways to use a county credit card:

Airline tickets for relatives

Gassing up the car for the weekend

$375 for a “business dinner”

Bar tab in Nashville

Duh, don’t know what I bought

The poll is actually in touch with the public. It’s relevant. It’s amusing. And in a brief, fun way it gets to the heart of the absolute accounting nightmare that is going on within the Ragsdale administration.  My question: how the heck did it show up in the News Sentinel?  I guess the old saying is: “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.”

Click over and vote and enjoy. I don’t usually reveal how I vote, but I voted for “duh, don’t know what I bought.”

I thought it was great. I wish that they would put in a “Phase 2″ with various choices for repayment or if they should even be held accountable. A survey as to whether or not they should be charged criminally in some cases, would only depress us.

I think at the very least they should be fired. If I caught an employee of mine stealing, he or she would be gone. No doubt about it. . .
