Alan Keyes Sues to Seek Proof of Obama’s Qualifications

Maybe we’ll be able to finally put this to rest once and for all.  From Texasdarlin:

A Plaintiff with “Standing” Sues Obama

November 14, 2008 by texasdarlin

These plaintiffs should have standing.

Alan Keyes, Presidential candidate of the American Independent Party, Wiley S. Drake, V.P. candidate of the Independent Party and California elector, and Markham Robinson, California elector, filed suit in California on Nov. 12, 2008 against Barack Hussein Obama and others.

The Plaintiffs are seeking a Court Order barring the California Secretary of State from certifying the California electors until documentary proof that Senator Obama is a “natural born” citizen is received by the Secretary. Their complaint states in part:

About time; the whole world is waiting to see the evidence.

What exactly is supposed to be achieved with this suit, which you know does not have a snowball’s chance in hell of achieving anything. Democratic Party lawyers can easily stall this suit until Januray 20. After that, the enire national security apparatus of the United States can be mobilized to ensure that it comes to nothing—and will be. So, is this a harrassing action? Is this an attempt to rally the remnants of the ultra-conservative movement around a warm fire myth like the Democrats famous, “They Stole the 2004 Election” myth. Is this an act of desperation in the face of a perceived liberal onslaught so powerful and overwhelming that it will lay utter waste to everything?

This suit seeks to do what most Americans would love to see, to ensure that politicians are following the same laws they slap on us.

Are you in favor of the POTUS not having to be legally qualified for the office? Do you feel the POTUS should lay to rest the concerns of those citizens he says he hopes to unify?

If you were not ignorant, you’d most likely be aware that the majority of these suits asking Obama for a simple document were filed by Democrats, most notably Phillip Berg’s in Pennsylvania.

I look back on all the libs that are SCREAMING for criminal investigations into the Bush administration and then wonder how anyone can question this one lawsuit. When I’ve been pulled over for a minor trafic violation, I have to PRESENT PROOF OF INSURANCE, DRIVER LICENSE AND PROPER VEHICLE REGISTRATION. I guess as a driver I’m more important than POTUS?

Harrasment suit? Then why didn’t we investigate the Clintons for their alleged thefts and vandalism?

Maybe, just maybe, someone ones to hold someone accountable. No one investigates foodstamp, WIC, HUD or other forms of government fraud. Maybe someone wants the highest office in the land held to just a teensy bit higher standard.

Besides, what’s he afraid of? Why would his records be sealed if they were legit? He’s hiding something and I doubt we’ll ever know what.

If he weren’t a native-born American, then the Clintons would have destroyed him. That simple.

Tracy-

You said you weren’t ever coming back on this blog.
Never.

A liberal not keeping her word, who would have ever imagined.

Casey-

I keep hearing that over and over. Please explain to me why his staff doesn’t just release the damned birth certificate.

Is that Global Warming Tracy?

Cool enough for you?

Why should Barry O question this? It was the same type of tactic he used to get his opponents disqualified when he ran in Illinois.

It IS the same type tactic that B-HO used against many of his opponents. That’s why he hasn’t released ANYTHING. He worked under the theory that less is safer.

Don’t forget that the Clintons thought at one point that they WERE the Democrat Party so they might not have done it to maintain some sort of party unity. It would have discredited the party as a whole and alienated the black vote forever. How would that have sat with the “first black president”? I honestly think that they were hoping that the GOP would do it, become the lightening rod for racist screams and allow her to come forward with a downward gaze and make the getsture of “healing” within the Dem Party.

His problems are all there, no one cares. But they will! Oh will they care.

Hope and Change all you mindlessd drones.
Hope is a longterm wish in the face of reality and change is the illusion of progress!!

Malcolm,

Maybe he considers the argument to be silly. Maybe you should accept that Obama is your next president and hope he is a good leader. The American people have spoken and he has won.

Casey,

I fear your educated guess may be true. I fear Obama may feel the constitutional requirements and the rule of law are silly technicalities. It’s frightening that you seem to concur with him.

Malcolm,

You are truly an idiot. I’ve blogged with you for a year before saying that. He is an American and you can’t do anything about it. YOU have no proof that he is not an American save for some foolish bloggers who CLAIM to be experts in what a Hawaiin birth certificate should look like.

I was saying that he probably finds the argument that he isn’t American to be silly like most of the inane crap that you spout.

Casey, I am just looking at this from an employers point of view. Show me the document. From an election regulation point of view. Show me the document.
Will B-HO even consider someone for his staff that he doesnt either personally know or without complete disclosure? Doubtful and yet the American people don’t seem to care. If I apply for a job in his Civilian Defense Force, you can bet your sweet petootie that I will have to provide an assortment of documentation and it will be verified and copied so it can be maintained in a file. It just seems odd that I can’t be a dog catcher in Knox County without a birth certificate but he can be prez. Curious, don’t you think?

As for him being President: he is and I will support him on what I think is right and fight him on what I think is wrong as I have with both Bushes and Clinton. I even disagreed with Reagan on his abortion issue so I don’t think anyone can call me partisan. Loud? Sure. Obnoxious? Always. But never partisan.

Casey,

Of course he is American, alas that isn’t enough to meet the constitutional requirements to be POTUS.

How typical of you to scream and begin name-calling when someone makes a legitimate inquiry (FYI, I’m not the one filing suit Alan Keyes and Philip Berg are, two men who are for more educated and respected than a “foolish blogger” like you). I’m suprised that you haven’t declared Alan Keyes a rascist yet and organized your students to hold a protest rally against the lawsuit complete with frilly pink hats, feather boas and a obligatory nude demonstration.

Malcolm,

All you do is make personal attacks. Because I’m a professor you are actually stupid enough to think I’m a radical. One doesn’t have to be conservative to love America. Of course I’m not calling Keyes a racist.

After the insulting posts you’ve leveled at me over the past year how dare you say I’m the one making personal attacks. That is all you do. No substance all attack.

Pink boas? Where do you get this crap? I’m a red blooded American boy that drives an F-150, loves my country and hails from Dixie. My first book, just completed, is about a CONFEDERATE military officer.

My problem with people like you is that you are foolish enough to actually believe that Obama isn’t a natural-born citizen. It is just silly.

Par for the course for you Obamites. As soon as Joe the Plumber asked a question everyone dug up his dirt and denounced him as silly as well. This seems to be the MO for lefties, kill the questioner instead of answering the question.

Let’s get down to brass tacks, how do YOU know Obama is a natural-born citizen? Because of a digital file viewable on Daily Kos? That’s about as solid as getting Big Foot evidence from the National Inquirer website.

I pity the students who must “learn” from a “professor” who admonishes people for asking questions. When a student questions your facts in class do you provide evidence or simply call them silly for questioning you? When you wrote your book did you dig for facts or assume that everything you came across must be true?

My problem with people like you is that you cast about your psuedo-intelligence as if it gives you some sort of perch of superiority while purposely surrounding yourself with younger, impressionable personalities to inflate your bloated ego. While your lecturn might be good for intimidating 19 year old frat boys and garnering winks from 18 year old co-eds, it holds no such power in the realm of free thought.

Obama, an elected representative of the people of a country you claim to love, has been asked by his constituency for accountability. That you support his arrogant dismissal, if not indeed illegal activity, of his people’s concerns is one lesson we can all learn from you: A country run by men instead of law is a country on the brink of totalitarianism.

You’ll forgive me, Alan Keyes, Philip Berg, Terry Frank and others who take the time to question things instead of baaahing along with the herd if we don’t accept your denouncement of us a silly little simpletons as a substitute for an actual answer to our questions.

Show a judge the damned birth certificate.
