BART GORDON: (202) 225-4231

Via email – “I just called Bart Gordon’s office and the aide who answered the phone told me that she “just spoke to Rep. Gordon, and he said that he is going to vote “NO” on the proposed Healthcare bill because of the financial burden it would place on Middle Tennesseans and because of the Government Option”.  She said they are getting lots of calls from concerned Tennesseans and she sked me to help get out the word that he is voting “No”.

To which GL responded, “However, let us remember, Bart Gordon is a serial liar. He has made public statements on way and voted another on other occasions.” JH added, “Gordon is hedging.  It needs to be “no under any circumstances” because he may well anticipate a last minute amendment that he could use as an excuse to change the vote and have an “out” with this promise.”

UPDATE: If you’re here in East Tennessee, you’ll want to call Congressmen Heath Shuler as well.

Caller Tim said he just spoke with Congressman Shuler’s office (Tim goes to Ashville’s VA Hospital and therefore called his office) and that his staffer said the Congressman was undecided.

Now this is interesting as we look back at Congressman Shuler’s PRO-vote on Cap and Tax.  Inside word at that time from Congressman Shuler’s office was that Shuler was voting for cap and tax so he could vote against the health care bill.  Developing…

It would help if the Republican plan had some substance and addressed the needs of the American people instead of their corporate masters.

And then there are wacky solutions like this.

It’s going to be a thorny, twisting road on the way to the only solution, which is single-payer, with a heterogeneous pool of over 300 million people.

Substance? What is interstate competition?
I’m not sure when it becames govt’s job to take care of us. In reading the U.S. Constitution, I got the impression that they are to hold sacred certain rights and liberties so that I can solve my problems. No one knows my issues better than I so how can I expect Pelosi to fix it? She ACTUALLY said a little while ago that this was an historic moment like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Does she realize that all of her comparisons are also just giveaway programs that were supposed to fix problems but instead only made them worse.

That’s one hell of a track record to brag about. I can’t wait for my red pill.

I have to give my respect to Tennessee on this one. We fought the good fight against the Big Government takeover. Unfortunately, we lost this one.

IT IS DO OR DIE TIME IN THE SENATE!!! I know that Reid said healthcare is shelved until next year, but that’s only two months away! We must protect those unalienable rights so eloquently outlined in the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson already: life, liberty, and (at least originally…) property. We lost property long ago with the Kelo decision and liberty has been slipping for decades, but if this healthcare bill passes, we can kiss the final (and most imporant) one goodbye!

You may notice the time of this post. That is no accident. Simply the thought of what the House did to us tonight will lead to many sleepless nights (although I’m sure there will be a government mandate about that soon enough)…

Well now if the Senate will fall on its sword and take one for the party of Marx then the VETO(vote everyone of them out) revolution can begin. Nothing like having the threat of the full force of the IRS with $250,000 fines and federal prison to get us on board for another unconstitutional government program.

All week the Marxists laughed and scoffed at the question posed by CNSNews if the bill was constitutional. And in lockstep like good proletariat members they repeatedly cited the preamble and ignored the remaining 7 articles and bill of rights and even went so far as to say Congress can do anything it wants and to hell with us.

But then on the other side all of these conservative organizations that take in millions of dollars a year scream about unconstitutional dictates from Congress but never seem to put their money and attorneys where their mouths are. And that’s why Congress is emboldened because they aren’t being challenged.

The DC Marxists feel emboldened now because they know a Republican controlled Congress will not have the votes to over turn an Obama veto. They actually believe the empty suit will get re-elected in 2012 which guarantees this disaster would go into effect in 2013 despite a GOP majority.

Under prime minister Pelosi I will probably have to cough up an extra $8,000/year to keep my current insurance. Thank you Obama for not raising my taxes so I can pay for this new mandate.

Since this is a form of taxation. Since it’s clear that they will not represent the will of the people. Doesn’t this begin to remind people fo something? Didn’t they have a little skirmish a few years ago for less than this? Didn’t men risk all at that time so that future generations could be free? And now it is clear, through either ignorance, apathy or corruption they have frittered away those freedoms and spit on those brave mens’ graves.

Maybe we deserve to get what we get if as a nation we can’t even peel ourselves away from the frivolous things in life long enough to know what is being done in our name and on our behalf.

“I believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need a despotic government, being incapable of any other.”

Benjamin Franklin, Sept. 17, 1787 at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention.

A despotic example: Owens Breaks 4 Campaign Promises in first hour in Congress

Thanks for helping with that $50,000 word. “Can we stick it to the people? YES WE CAN!!”
