Look into my eyes…
Look into my eyes…while I slowly begin to count backwards from 10. 10…9…8…7…6…5…you’re getting very sleepy now….4…….you can’t hold your eyes open any more….3…2…1. Now when you wake, you won’t remember any of this except one thing:
“I am Bob Corker and I am pro-life. OK, when I snap my fingers you’ll awake and you won’t remember any thing about my pro-abortion record, no, you’ll only remember looking into my eyes and the suggestion that I am pro-life…”
Good grief, that’s about what we’re getting from the “pro-life coalition” that is trying to provide cover for Corker on this life issue. They claim they’ve “talked” to Bob Corker and they believe him when he “says” he is pro-life.
Yeah, well, Hitler talked to an assembly in Belgium and told them he was only there in peace. They believed him too, until he rolled the tanks off the ship.
Why is the life issue so big? Because Tennessee is pro-life, and to prove it, listen how Harold Ford Jr. is even claiming to be pro-life. But it wouldn’t be an issue for Bob Corker if he wasn’t so full of it. Every campaign needs a slogan, his should be “Say Anything.”
The Tennessean does a good round up article in yesterday’s paper, that includes this gem from Mr. Rich Bott:
The [Corker] campaign declined to renew its contract with the station, Bott said. “We’re not sorry we lost his business,” Bott said. “It’s more important for us that our listeners trust us to tell them the truth.”
Some day, I hope to meet such a principled man as Mr. Bott. Read the entire Tennessean article here.
And speaking of the life issue and Corker’s sincerity, if you haven’t read it elsewhere, you really need to take a moment and read former State Representative Chris Clem’s tell-all on Corker. It’s right here.
