Oh yes! Let there be light…

Every once in a while, wishes come true.
Here in East Tennessee, we don’t always get all the information that’s coming out of Nashville. And when I say Nashville, I mean the halls and committee rooms, the back rooms and the House floor. Most often in East Tennessee, or at least the Knoxville market, we get the scrubbed down, incumbent protection version of events.

No longer, my friends. We have a choice. We have competition. We have more information. We have Steve Gill hitting the airwaves with statewide coverage.
So often in our Knoxville market, political reality is a version of life in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village. We’re told what’s important. We’re not given information. We are denied stories that are run statewide.

With a statewide show coming to town, the chances of such architected filtration are greatly diminished.

With the arrival of Gill, I expect other media to step up to meet the challenge. But in the meantime, expect a lot of nervous Nellies to tune in with bitten fingernails wondering what information Mr. Gill will deliver to our market.
Congratulations Mr. Gill! I look forward to tuning in!
